Weʼve raised £1,280 to Support the Nigeria Higher Education Foundation by running the BMW Berlin Marathon on Sunday the 24th September 2017.
- Lagos, Nigeria
- Funded on Saturday, 11th November 2017
Crowdfunding is a new type of fundraising where you can raise funds for your own personal cause, even if you're not a registered nonprofit.
The page owner is responsible for the distribution of funds raised.
Nigeria has the largest population in Africa, and according to the United Nations, her population is set to increase from 180 million today to the third largest in the world, 400 million by 2050, catching up with the United States and exceeded only by China and India.
This could present a massive opportunity to benefit from this demographic dividend, or could lead to increased poverty and inequality. The final outcome will come down to education and empowering this population to create jobs and economic development.
The Nigeria Higher Education Foundation is set up to create a strong higher education sector that can support the needs of talented young Nigerians through provision of local and global resources to develop, sustain and advance the skills and leadership of Nigeria’s next generation
Join us in supporting the Nigeria Higher Education Foundation and change the lives of millions through education.

About the fundraiser
Over the past five years, I adopted running and went from being an inactive couch potato to a regular runner, and it has been addictive, enjoyable and life altering. I have resolved to use my love for running to support good causes that are dear to me.
