Yeovil Rugby Ladies are proud and very excited to have been selected to be part of a charity tour to Mufulira in Africa in August 2020.

During this trip we will be visiting schools to be ambassadors of not just rugby but womens sport in general working to change the opinion that sport is not important for women while also teaching some lessons and meeting local children.

We will have the pleasure of spending time with the Mufalira Leopardesses Rugby Team to exchange coaching and playing experiences, play alongside them in a tournament and hope to help them encourage more women and girls to take up the sport.

As part of the trip we will be visiting local hospitals and maternity unit and also the more remote rural areas.

We are fundraising for travel kit and also to be able to take over sports equipment for the schools and rugby team. In addition to this we would love to be able to help the schools and hospital with items they desperately need.
