The winners were the previous years champions with a fastest time in the final of 0:49:51! Everyone who participated in the event really enjoyed it with the weather being perfect to dry off wet clothing after each race! We will be looking to compete again next year but need to knock off around 15 seconds to have a chance of winning! Training will need to begin at the end of the summer to give us a chance. Thank you to all who participated and to everyone who donated. I will post another update once the last few donations have been made.

On a bright sunny day in the Salford Quays team 'Belief is Quay' competed in the Salford Dragon Boat Race. We were first into the boat for race 1, having zero practice and most of us meeting for the first time that day. We managed to come first in race 1 with a time of 1:10.88. Although we now knew what we were doing, our second race didn't go as well, finishing third with a time of 1:05:50. And after a sprint to actually line up for the last race we managed to come first with our best time of 1:04:70.
