Story
Many of you will know Charlotte who works on reception - she has worked with us for years (although, she's often away doing shows because she is so bloody talented!). Her sister, Gemma, is criticality ill at the moment and needs a bit of help.
I asked Charlotte herself to explain her sister's situation:
Gemma's Story
"So, my sister was born in 1978, with a genetic disorder that meant her body did not form correctly, she had hydrochelpical ( fluid on the brain) and clef palette. She has always been amazing, she went to state school and university.
She is 3 foot tall and 3.5 stone with the most amazing drive and ambition and has worked for the government, in the disability sector since graduating (getting disabled people into work).
In 2006 she married a man she met in a bar (Ian, the most amazing 6 foot 5 gentle giant)
And 3 years ago they adopted a child, Callum, 4 years old and full of fun.
6 months ago they adopted another amazing child, Riley, a beautiful 3 year old little boy. They have had a wonderful little family unit.
The last 3 months have been very hard; Gemma has been struck with illness causing lots of time in hospital and lot of hard times.
Gemma and Ian have prioritised family life but also, genuinely have not been able to work, so they are really struggling financially.
The idea that any help from the proceeds of the Christmas Party, could give them and their little family a chance to breath, and some space to heal, is so appreciated."
At the Christmas party, we are asking for a £10 donation at the door. All proceeds will be donated to Gemma, to help her and her family during these tough times.
This page has been set up to allow those who can't make it to donate as well.
Thanks so much - the £10 is a suggested donation, whatever you feel, can afford or would like to give is massively appreciated.
