A few words from Alina:
"On Thursday 24th February the life of Ukrainian nation was ripped apart.
My heritage is Ukrainian, and reading the news that morning made me feel sick, terrified and distressed. I was weeping, and weeping and weeping reading the following news:
“Russia invaded Ukraine…”
This was murder against a sovereign peaceful state where my family and friends were terrified beyond the belief. This was nothing else but an act of aggression from the dictator.
My brother, my father, my extended family and friends are currently in Ukraine, sleeping in shelters and garages, whilst listening to the sound of missiles and bombs, and this is something no one could ever imagine this happening in 2022.
Since that Thursday every day starts with checking up on my family and friends, and reading news whilst my anxiety is going through the roof. I pray and hope every day that this will stop very soon, and I’m forever grateful to every single one of you for your kind words, support, donations, solidarity and thoughtfulness 🇺🇦🇬🇧
I will be driving a large truck to Ukrainian border on Thursday 10th March, hence I am now raising funds to buy critical supplies and provide donations to volunteers and charities supporting Ukrainian army, and families that decided to flee the country, and those staying in Ukraine to fight the aggressor.
Thank you all for your kind donations and support, Ukrainian nation needs it like never before and we will never forget your generosity and benevolence 💙💛"
