    Story

Lower Ure News is the local free community newspaper for Boroughbridge and the Lower Ure Valley. Circulation is now over 2000 copies a month – delivered by a team of volunteers to households in the area. The paper is the result of local people attending a European Funded training programme to create Community Reporters. This course was run simultaneously in eight European Countries. It covered the ethics of reporting, writing copy, interviewing and videoing news stories. Yore Vision is aiming to raise a bit of money to help get the paper through this financial year and to encourage the volunteers to keep going.
