Story
The Yorkshire Three Peaks Challenge takes on the peaks of Pen-y-ghent, Whernside and Ingleborough, in under 12 hours. The route is 24-miles long, and includes 5,200ft (1,585m) of ascent.
We are taking on the challenge to raise money for Devon Air Ambulance Trust and Derriford Children's Cancer Service.
Devon Air Ambulance Trust (Registered Charity No. 1077998)

Devon is a huge county. Two epic coastlines, hundreds of quaint villages and acres of rural wilderness. It’s part of what makes our county special. But Devon’s geography can also make emergency rescues incredibly complicated. Sometimes people in need of urgent medical support cannot be reached by road. Other times it would simply take too long to reach a patient by normal ambulance. That’s where we come in . In an emergency - when seconds count - we can be anywhere in the county within minutes. From the moors to the shores. The patients we save are ordinary people in extraordinary circumstances. Mothers. Husbands. Children. Nobody chooses to have a medical emergency. But thanks to the crucial support of the Devon community, we can be there when it matters most.
Derriford Children's Cancer Service (Registered Charity Number 1048679)

Derriford Children's Cancer Service was established to enhance the care, support, and facilities provided for children undergoing treatment for cancer, and their families, which are not available through statutory funding or other charitable bodies.
Some examples of how they help:
- Fund a clinical psychologist to provide psychological support to children and their families to help them with the emotional impact of childhood cancer.
- Fund activities of the Siblings’ Support Group and Parent's Support Group
- Specialist equipment to enable children to be treated at home and in the hospital setting.
