Story

Hello you lovely lot im back again...

Thank you for those who have supported me so far. My last giving page got £819!!!! So £419 over my target.

A-MAZ-ING 🙌🏻

I've completed the 10k, half marathon, so im just left with the little run of 26.2 miles... the York Marathon on 8th December. I am doing this for the amazing local charity Friends in Deed.

Friends in Deed are a fund-raising group based in Dewsbury, who raise funds for local children in need. It was formed in March 1988 and over the past 29yrs Friends in Deed have raised over: £157,600. This money has been used for numerous good causes ranging from something as simple as funding the installation of a telephone, to buying equipment for individual children, to funding large organisations and hospitals enabling them to buy equipment that has helped many children who would normally have had to go without.

Thanks to local support over the years, Friends in Deed have been able to help many children and families who would have not been helped if left to government funding. It seems that government and local authorities alike have come to rely on charities to help individuals and organisations, which for some reason they don’t see the need to support.

Thanks you so much for reading this and supporting me and Friends in Deed in the tough challenge ahead.
