Mama I own a company
So here's the thing, I have launched a business, which has been both exciting and incredibly intimidating, the responsibility and accountability this comes with can at times overwhlem.
Young Nevertiti, is all about submerging the cultures from Cairo and Ireland taking inspo rooted from my ancestors in Ancient Egypt, and combining it with contemporary western pop art.
Where it all began
The name Young Nevertiti stems from the great royal wife of an ancient Egyptian ruler, Akhenaten. Neferneferuaten Nefertiti and her husband were responsible for bringing about a religious revolution in Egypt, introducing monotheism once more. More than this, she was a powerful and skilled woman in her own right. She was talented and intelligent, characteristics I hope to emphasise with my brand. Now more than ever truth, justice, kindness, through courage and conviction are values that have been lost for the modern man and woman and are needed. I hope to empower through my work. My colleagues also would refer to me as Nefertiti for my signature cat eye liner, the tag stuck!
Young Nevertiti allows me to reconnect more with my father, who passed away three years ago unexpectedly. This sudden change in my circumstances meant I had to harness my inner power, creativity and work ethic to support my family. I created this company with my bare hands, grit, and heart , and it would be incredible to have you all support and empower.
How you can help...
As a young business I want to work toward 100 % accountability and transparency with my products, meaning you're rest assured your money is going solely in supporting a local business owner. The aim is to hand make and produce everything personally with a small trained team, with a certified level of accountability and ethical standard.
I want to raise enough to create a space that aims to empower individuals both at home and abroad. Young Nevertiti is my creative outlet, and a safe space to enhance characteristics of truth, power, and justice in and for women. Characteristics of a QUEEN at a time when our self esteem is massively battered and brought into question.
This is where you guys come in. If you can share, donate and support you will be helping empower and uplift a young muslim female business woman, to help me build and grow my business whilst speaking truth to power, maintaining moral standards, and going HAM in the creative space.
