A night in the Spotlight is a young person led production taking place on 13th October 2018 and will provide aspiring performers with the opportunity to perform on stage to a paying audience of over 200!

Through this showcase we hope to work with young people aged 11-25, in all walks of life and support them in their talents- giving them access to a top of the range dance studio and recording studio as their performance base, with trained professionals working alongside them- we hope that by working with them for two months, we can give them the tools they need to then stand on a stage in front of 250 people and have their time to shine.

The show will be produced and supported by members of Audacity Dance crew. We are a small crew, who rehearsal twice a week at our local youth centre. The centre is a non-profit organisation who in 2012 had a 100% cut in funding. Since then it has been down to us to fund raise for the opportunities and experiences we wish to make happen. We have a passion for performing and are dedicated in supporting young people in achieving their dreams. With just 15 weeks until the big night, we have just 5 to prove that we can secure the funding before we are faced with the difficult decision of cancelling.

Over the next month we will be holding bake sales, sponsored dance a thons, sponsored walks, car washes and lots more community events in the hope we can pull this off for the aspiring performers of Portishead. Any donation big or small would go so far in making this once in a life time event possible.
