I've raised £14000 to help support a service that helps people with hearing loss enjoy, rather than endure, the cinema experience

Accessible cinema shows have transformed the social lives of thousands of film fans with hearing loss. For a few hours, the disabling barrier is removed. Subtitled shows provide social benefits such as equality, inclusion and community integration and have made a positive, cultural, long-term impact on society. They benefit people of all ages. Hundreds of thousands of young people have hearing loss (RNID/AOHL). Each year, almost a thousand children are born in the UK with significant hearing loss (NDCS). Our society is ageing, and with ageing, loss of some hearing is inevitable. Access to film - via subtitles - is something that we may all appreciate, eventually.
