My students always asking me: Have you ever made a successful campaign? The answer is : No, i participate and donate in some campaigns but never tried cause i have no reason to ask for help.
My PHD is about Crowdfunding with title (The E-Crowdfunding and Its Impact on The Entrepreneurship). I started my study in 2012-2013 and this is my final year. Unfortunately, i was unable to raise all my 5 years fees for university. I almost cover 2 academic years only (2012-2014) which including finishing the requirement courses. I sold my property to cover the costs for 2 years and live now in rented apartment. I still need to cover three years fees, travel costs to Egypt and costs of thesis discussion. I supposed to be in Egypt at 10/2017 (after 3 months)at least. I have to pay the University fees first to give me a student permission for this academic year (2016/2017) so I can travel to Egypt.
I start thinking how to raise money to fund my trip, fees and resident at least 4 months to review with my Professor before discussion. In my country the people is under poverty line and such amount of money is a big deal. I will lose my PHD if i did not travel this year and discus it. I decided posting my own campaign cause now i have a good reason.
Why not try it? If it works it will be a good evidence for my study for the existence of collaborator community. If not at least i tried and will lost my effort for 5 years. The money i asked (10,000 $) will be divided as follow:
1- 4800 $ university fees for three years.
2- 2000 $ for resident in Egypt for a period of time not less than 4 months.
3- 1100 $ for travelling to Egypt bye land.
4- 1000 $ for printing and discussion ceremony fees.
5- 1100 $ for returning back home after discussion.
I have a great feelings that this research will be accomplish by your assistance. As a reward for your assistance, special chapter will be added in my thesis for this campaign. Also each person supported me will receive full copy of the thesis.
