A big hello to all reading this.
My name is yvette. I am 38 and I suffer from narcolepsy & cataplexy. This has had a huge effect on my weight and mental health causing anxiety and depression. For years I have felt worthless, ugly, fat and useless.
Although I still have all of the above two years ago I started to get my confidence back slowly.
Last year I attended a photoshoot for Scarlett and jo in London. On the day I was quite quiet I took a backseat watching all these amazing women of all different shapes and sizes, oozing confidence wearing dresses i never thought in a million years I would wear. I left on a high I left wanting more, more days like that one. A few months later i entered into two plus size pageants and got accepted for both.
Who would have thought at my age, height and size I could be in a pageant it's something you dream of as a little girl wearing a sparkly dress and winning a crown. Since joining i have met so many new friends and again can feel my confidence still growing.
I am even a founder member of the 'positivity perfect ' ladies helping promote body confidence.
However these pageants come at a cost and in order for me to continue on this journey of self worth, i need help with costs towards fees, accommodation and outfits, I would be eternally grateful for any help received no matter how small the donation,
Help me try and bring that Crown home.
