I've raised £5000 to help with travel & accommodation from Aberdeen to Rotherham to allow us to support our daughter whilst she receives treatment for anorexia.

Story

Our daughter, Aimee has been ill now with anorexia for 8 years. She took ill at 14 years old and has had numerous hospital admissions, some of which have been over a year. She is due to be transferred to England from a hospital in Aberdeen, where she has been for the last 5 months. The family is exhausted but in order to give Aimee her best chance of responding to the specialist treatment in England for complex eating disorders, we need to be with her as much as possible. This involves travel and accommodation expenses which we will receive no support for.

We are not comfortable asking for help, but we don't really know what else to do. In order to raise awareness for how long Aimee and other children and young adults have to spend in hospital miles away from family and friends, I am going to walk, hike or jog 5k every day for the remainder of her admission.

Your help would mean a lot to us x
