I was first diagnosed with stage 3 Breast Cancer in 2013 and was lucky enough to receive treatment to get the cancer into remission and slowly rebuild my life
I received the life shattering news in November 2015 that the cancer was back and had spread to my bones.Radiation treatment which should have helped control may cancer had the awful effect of causing Acute Myeloid Leukaemia a rare and aggressive form of cancer attacking the white blood cells
Treatment on the NHS has so far been unsuccessful in getting my cancer into remission and I have been told the current chemotherapy I receive every 3 weeks can only been seen as a temporary fix
The first positive life line I have been thrown is following a recommendation to the Hallwang Clinic in Germany who have been highly successful in offering Immunotherapy not available on the NHS. The downside being the total cost of treatment is likely to be in excess of £150,000
Thanks to the efforts of friends I have already received over £20,000 which has paid for my initial consultation and DNA testing. I find it odd asking for support for myself having fund raised my entire life for rescue dogs, but I know without this option my time is very limited
This is a very scary time in my life and there are no guarantees that this will work but I intend to cease the chance and ask for your support in any form every pound will be gratefully received
