I'm 9 years old & was born missing a Fibula bone to my right leg.
My right leg was also 5cm, shorter than my left leg

As I've grown so have my complications

My Femur & Tibia are growing at a slower rate on my right side this has twisted my pelvis and caused scoliosis causing pressure on my neck. My rib frame is also narrower leaving me unable to fully inflate my left lung causing me breathlessness. The pressure on my back and neck causes me to have extreme head aches

I started having intervention from 3 months old. I had my right leg serial casked weekly to encourage the Tibia bone to grow straight

By 18 months I had my first surgery fusing my ankle, so I could wear a shoe with a raise & learn to walk

By the time I was 5, my right leg was 9cm shorter than my left, leaving me unable to walk & needing complex lengthening surgery

I was in a Ilizarov frame for 9 months and managed to gain 7cm in length

The surgery was very painful, it consisted of my leg being broken & 16 pins being fitted through the bone to form an external frame, which could be stretched to increase the gap between the break and encourage new bone to grow

Since then I've had 3 other corrective operations, but my bones are still growing slower than my left side meaning, I've had to have another leg frame

I'm again in another Ilizarov frame with 15 pins going through my leg. We've managed to stretch my leg by another 5cm making it a
a whopping 12cm in total

This has come with excruciating pain & left me unable to walk unaided or properly

My mum is getting me as much phyiso as possible.
The NHS can only fund 1 session a week, but I need to go daily, to help build my muscles & re-alien my leg so I can learn to walk again

We are raising the funds to help towards my physio/chiro costs and get me back on my feet
