I've raised £700 to help fund production costs for our musical LEGALLY BLONDE @ The Octagon Theatre, Yeovil, Nov 2018. #keepingthedreamalive

Yeovil Youth Theatre (YYT) is an inclusive, not-for-profit training and performance-based theatre group. Established in 2005, YYT in its present format, has been providing young people aged 13 to 18 years with an interest in theatre, an opportunity to learn what it's like to be part of a company, whether working together to put on a full scale musical theatre or drama production or through acting, singing, dancing and 'triple threat' workshops.
YYT is run by a committee of volunteers who come from all walks of life but who are committed to seeing singing, dancing and acting opportunities being made available to young people at a minimal cost. We are a fully inclusive company, our only membership criterion is that you have a willingness to learn, participate, have fun and enjoy yourself.
Our production costs are our single biggest expense every year with the average cost per production equating to approximately £40,000. This includes high cost items such as rights-holder licence fees and royalties, venue hire, sound engineer and equipment hire, lighting and operator hire, music and/or professional orchestra costs, professional directors and musical directors, set hire, costume hire and rehearsal venue hire.
Our only source of income excluding our membership fee (currently £20 annually to remain open and accessible to everyone) are the ticket sales for any of our events and productions.
We are fortunate that our very committed company have successfully fundraised our way back into the black and now we are looking to fundraise in any and every way possible.
This is where you come in.
A cup of coffee from the major retailers costs, on average, £3.
Please would you consider donating the price of a cup of coffee to our deserving young performers and help enrich their lives?
