In September 2016, we donated a great amount of money to a project ran by a family member who then provided food and necessities to the children and families in a remote town in Mombasa who are unable to provide necessities for themselves and their families and are suffering in poverty.
Upon visiting, the same project discovered that the locals did not have a clean, built Mosque, instead the walls were built out of mud with leaves on top for support and shelter. The locals reached out to our project and asked if we would be able to provide such conditions for them. As we are lucky to have freshly built mosques, we take these conditions for granted and are lucky we have at least one nearby in any city/town we visit.
We have recently proposed to build a mosque named "Ar-Rahman" for the locals in the town of Mombasa which has gone to the local council and is currently being reviewed by architects.
All of the proceeds will be donated to construct the mosque and will pay for all the facilities that will be used inside the mosque.
The locals asked if we could just build 4 walls for them, we have decided to take this a step further and build something which would be much better than they expect.
