Zacs 3x3 Basketball

We are fundraising by doing what Zac was passionate about…playing ball.

Come and join us to ball out in memory of Zac Green, a special member of our basketball community who sadly passed away on 09.11.2024. You don’t need to have known Zac to play, he reflects all of us who feel basketball has a special place in our lives.

We’re also welcoming anyone who knew Zac to come along and try the sport he loved, with support from local coaches. All ages welcome for a fun basketball session and games. Donations for event entry either via this page or on the day.

We are raising money for a memorial bench near Roath Park Basketball Court, a place where Zac spent many happy times. We hope for it to be a place for Zac’s friends and family to remember him and what he loved, and somewhere for anyone from our basketball community to be able to sit and talk when needed.

We are welcoming people on Saturday 22nd March 2025, 10am-1pm at the Archers Arena on Cardiff Met’s Cyncoed Campus. If you want to bring a team to play please email mishak.curtis.knapton@hotmail.com to ask for further details. If you want to join us on the day for some fun family games and entertainment please just turn up on the day and make a donation.

There will also be a court with lots of fun and games for those of all ages who are newer to basketball, and (tbc) music, entertainment, stalls, raffle and more. So please encourage others to come along and support the day, there is something for everyone.
