Story

Our close family friend, Zach, is 11 years old and has Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy.

Duchenne muscular dystrophy is a rare muscle-wasting condition. Most children become wheelchair-bound between ages 8-10, and then as teenagers the heart and lung muscles begin to waste. Sadly, many do not make it to adulthood. Read more about Duchenne here.

I'm raising money to support Zach by running Brighton Marathon 2024.

The money will go directly to Zach and his family, to support the costs of expensive equipment and facilities to make his life as comfortable and enjoyable as possible!

This includes his wheelchair, accessible vehicle and an upcoming bedroom and wet room conversion - that is much needed to support Zach's independence and care as he enters his teenage years.

Please support Zach by giving what you can. 100% of donations will go directly to Zach and his family.
