Not having boxed since 2012 I was offered an opportunity to box a professional boxer for a belt in a Legends series match up. I thought if I was going to box at the age of 48 I am as well do it for causes that I feel passionate about: one local and one international. Palestine and our local graveyard in Heckmondwike. The Palestinians are suffering hardship for many many decades and everyone knows about the terrible situation in Gaza. The local graveyard because everytime I go there I am amazed at how badly the graves and graveyard as a whole is not maintained. The graves have fallen apart, the church is in ruins, there is no place of shelter and no benches with no decorative landscaping gardening unlike most other graveyards or cemeteries I have been to.
So I would like to raise some funds straighten some graves and have benches fitted and a shelter and perhaps start an initiative to renovate the church.
