The Defence Medical Group Southeast DMG(SE) are taking two teams to represent the Allied Forces Foundation (AFF) at the Marine Corp Marathon (MCM) in Washington DC on 22 Oct 2017.

The AFF will field an increasing number of runners in signature groupings of both wounded & fit serving or retired veterans competing under the auspices of the AFF. They have served in combat in the same conflicts, and now they run to raise awareness and funds for the common wounded. All funds raised for the AFF will go towards supporting family members and care givers in special activities, events and training that enable recovery and the ability to share with fellow warriors who have been through similar trials.

A team consists of 4 serving MFD personnel to support one Wounded Ill or Injured (WII) person. DMG(SE) are taking 3 WII this year who are retired service personnel. The aim is to ultimately give them all a challenging goal to aid in their recovery process from Service related illnesses and injuries. We aim to raise £5000 between us all to make this happen.
