Story
Until 2 years ago, I was completely ignorant of how devastating sudden brain illness is to a patient and their family and friends . It can effect anyone at any age, with severe consequences.
I am dedicating this event in the memory of my late mother Mrs Bedor Hana Balaya , who was struck down by a sudden unexpected illness and was treated at the RVI hospital Newcastle , UK by a dedicated brain specialist team. The Charity I would like to raise money for, will help buy modern special equipment required to detect the earliest signs of impending brain dysfunction, and help improves the lives of those affected.

After not doing any serious exercise or running for almost a decade I decided to take on the challenge of the Great North Run , to run for a worthy cause , the Northern Brain Wave appeal , a charity that is small in size but huge its terms of impact
