    Story

Baby Zakariya Hoque was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukaemia on 19th November 2016 at the age of only six months old.

We were informed by the doctors that his cancer was at the highest they'd ever seen and it had spread excessively through his body and that he most likely wouldn't make it through the weekend. Soon we were told his kidneys were failing so he had to be transferred to PICU in the RVI hospital, Newcastle Upon Tyne.

Thankfully, after two days his kidneys were recovering so they had moved him from PICU to a ward in the children's hospital where he started his intense Chemotherapy which made him extremely weak and helpless and made him forget how to crawl and sit till the extent that he wouldn't smile or laugh anymore.

He was in hospital for six months and had gotten five blocks of chemotherapy after which he became strong enough to sit and play again, which for me and my wife to see was the most heart warming feeling ever.

In April 2017, the doctors told us his cancer which he had been fighting for all these months had came back and that he would need a bonemarrow transplant, but after receiving the most high intense chemotheraphy which didn't work for him he was unable to get the transplant.

Thereafter the doctors informed us his Leukaemia was too high, they had no other cure to give him and couldn't give a time limit as to how long he would survive. As of now, he is receiving small doses of chemotheraphy to keep his cancer down as much as possible.

Zakariya is now spending all his time at home with family and friends, it would be wonderful if people would please donate so my little boy with his family can go to Mecca, Saudi Arabia for Umrah (sacred pilgrimage) before he goes.

Please donate generously so that zakariya's and his family's wish can come true.
