Feline and Wildlife Rescue Nottingham is an animal rescue organisation run entirely by a team of dedicated volunteers, most of whom work full time in veterinary practice. I've been fortunate enough to work alongside these wonderful individuals, and am regularly inspired by their dedication and work ethic. FAW have helped countless unwanted and stray cats in the Nottinghamshire area receive the veterinary care they desperately need and find forever loving homes, as well as taking in and rehabilitating injured wildlife. Their many success stories include turning 'Angry Gary', a feral cat who was terrified of people and would surely have been given up on by most, into a docile housecat; and the successful rescue and release of a golden oriole, an endangered bird which is rarely seen in the UK.

I have set myself two challenges to raise money for this wonderful cause - firstly, I will be taking my hobby of open water swimming further than I have before and wild swim throughout the winter; and secondly, I will be swimming 2 miles in Lake Windermere in June 2022 as part of the Great North Swim. All donations are so greatly appreciated, and will be exchanged for many photos and videos of me freezing my backside off if requested! 😁
