Story

On Sunday 17th May, a team of us from Zero Carbon Harrogate (ZCH) took part in the Nidderdale Charity Walk & Run, covering miles of stunning Yorkshire countryside to raise vital funds for our work tackling climate change locally.

Your support for the work of ZCH is really appreciated. With extra funds we can increase our awareness raising and advocacy work having a bigger impact in the Harrogate and Knaresborough area.

Why it Matters

Climate change is no longer a distant threat – we are seeing its effects right here in Yorkshire, from erratic weather to rising food costs.

One of the biggest contributors to our local carbon footprint is transport, and many residents and businesses want to make their journeys more sustainable, but they feel their options are limited. That is where ZCH comes in.

How Your Support Helps

Funds raised from this walk will help ZCH continue its work supporting our initiatives to help local people and businesses to cut carbon emissions and build a greener community. From our finding solution with our multi stakeholder Sustainable Transport Roundtable to running our Walk to School Days and Car Free Friday awareness campaigns, we are taking action to create real, lasting change.

Make every mile count

Your donation, big or small, will make a real difference. Please support our team, being headed up by Jemima Parker, Chair of Trustees, as we take on this challenge – together, we can build a more sustainable future for Harrogate.
