Story
Thank you to everybody who contributed to making Zeff's dream holiday come true. Zeff & his wife loved absolutely every moment of their trip and are so grateful to all you wonderful people who made it happen. Because of your kindness, we were able to raise a whole lot more than what was required for the trip, so all the extra cash raised was given to Zeff as a lump sum endowment, to do with as he chooses. There is a short video clip of Zeff's trip, the Cheque hand-over and a Thank You tribute to all contributors doing the rounds on WhatsApp - if you're one of those special people who supported this cause but haven't yet seen the video, please contact one of the organisers listed below and we'll gladly send it to you. (Sorry, we don't have everybody's contact details... especially you anonymous stars!)

Dear friends & families of Thyolo Sports Club, all Thyolo community members past & present:
If you've ever spent time in the hallowed hallways of TSC, there's one face you're sure to remember; that's our dear Mr Zefa, always smiling and ever-obliging, a small man with a giant's heart!

Zefa has been with the Club from the age of 29, and is now 84 years old! Over the last 55 years he has served many generations of Thyolo families, seen many kids grow up to have families of their own, and has always been there for all of us, a silent cornerstone of our community and a pillar of TSC.....We think it's time now that we said a big THANK YOU to Mr Zeff!
In his life time, Zeff has never seen the stunning Lake Malawi, nor has he ever been to any of Malawi’s magnificent game parks…. and that's a tragedy! As a thank you from all of us to Zeff for a lifetime of dedicated service to our Club and Community, we would like to organise a 5-day holiday for Mr Zefa and his wife to the Lake & Liwonde, their first trip ever and the holiday of a lifetime for the both of them!

These plans have been discussed with Zeff, and he is REALLY excited, so with your kind help we are sure we can make his dream come true.
The trip is planned to take place from the 23rd to the 28th of September 2022, only a few weeks away. To meet the costs of this trip, we would like to ask for contributions from all of you. A budget has been prepared, which includes the cost of travel, accommodation, meals, entertainment and pocket money for incidental expenditure. We need to collect at least $1’250 (£1’050) to make this trip a reality. All contributions received above this amount will be given directly to Zeff to do with as he chooses afterwards.... and we're hoping to collect a lot more! We will keep strict records of all contributions received & expenses incurred, and anybody who contributes, as well as the Club Board and Zeff himself of course, will have access to these records at any time upon request.
You are free to contribute absolutely any amount you would like to, it's a really worthy cause. You can contribute as much or as little as you can afford, every penny counts…. but to make it a little easier for you, we'd like to recommend a rough guideline amount of say $25 to $50 per family (£20 to £40/family), or the Malawi Kwacha equivalent thereof (K25'000 to K50'000/family), completely optional guidance, not mandatory at all.
If you would like to contribute from anywhere abroad please follow this link, or if you would like to make a local contribution from within Malawi please contact Anne Davidson or Daron Naidoo directly for local bank account details. If you are contributing directly locally please make sure to send us a message once done so that we can update our contribution tracker records accordingly.
We would also appreciate any personal messages for Zeff - we will try to put together a photo collage of Zeff's first Lake & Liwonde trip together with all your personal messages to him, for him to hang on the club wall or at his home, as he chooses.
Lastly, we'd like to ask you to please forward this link to anyone in your network of contacts who have ever been a part of the TSC family.
Wishing you all the very best and thanking you all for your kind contributions,
Anne Davidson, Shar Hayton, Daron Naidoo & Mick van Hasselt
For & on behalf of friends & families of Thyolo Sports Club.
