I've raised £1000 to help bring an orphan cat back to the UK from Bali - she has no home here and no one is willing to adopt her.

Story

Dear all, I appreciate there are many worthwhile causes in this world, and its often hard to choose to what or whom you wish to donate. I will let you decide whether you’d like to help my particularly ideosyncratic cause and, indeed, this particularly amazing little legend of a cat. She may be just one cat but she’s one of so many Indonesian animals who woukd otherwise suffer the cruelty so regularly seen here. I adopted Raven back in September 2017 when she was living in a cage in Bali. She’s since witnessed the death of her BFF in Feb (see the little white beaut in the photo)

and has moved house 12 times, making her a resilient little soul. I now find myself in a precarious situation: I have to leave Bali to go home to the UK, but due to ludicrous red tape both ends this is set to cost £2000 at very least; way out of my budget as someone who is still in their university overdraft. I have spent hours seeking a permanent home for her here in Bali but to no avail, staying up all until 3am last night for example trying to make contact with someone trustworthy to adopt her. No one wants any more cats in Bali and often they are sold for meat or end up mange-ridden and lost causes. She’s now fully domesticated, loving, and used to having a home, the latter of which I cannot find for her despite my best efforts. I want what is best for her first and foremost and would accept leaving her here with a happy, stable home if I could find one but as it stands, I leave Bali
