Hastings, East Sussex was officially twinned with Hastings Sierra Leone some ten years ago. The area was previously devastated by the Rebel War. The Hastings Sierra Leone Friendship Link helps bring
together people of the two Towns; schools in both towns have been linked which has led to Teachers travelling to experience a different culture which is passed on to their pupils whether in England or
Sierra Leone. This amazing charity also supports a Health Centre which continued to operate throughout the Ebola crisis providing help to the whole community including maternity treatment. The care of children including an immunisation programme and adults with many problems including HIV, injury, malaria etc. There is still much to do to improve the health of this area but together we hope to bring further improvements to the health of the area by providing more equipment for use in the Health Centre.
