I've raised £1000 to help fund the costs for my cat Zeus' medical treatment; he took a gun shot, has metal pellets in his leg, and now needs a leg amputation.

Story

My cat Zeus recently came home injured: He was unable to use his hind leg, it was swollen and infected. Initially we thought he had been in a cat fight and thus developed an ulcer, so a round of antibiotics was issued.
Three weeks later there was no improvement. The joints on his leg were no longer infected, but the bone was hardening and there was no movement in the joints. So he was sent in for xrays.
This is when, to the shock of the vet and myself, we had noticed he had somehow been shot. There are nine metal pellets spread across his hind leg, which destroyed his knee and ankle joints. After examining the xrays it is clear this was caused by the spread of a shotgun shell.
My poor Zeus now needs his leg amputated.
Unfortunately, my personal circumstances mean I am unable to pay for the treatment (the costs incurred so far have already been beyond my means).
I am hoping that I can gather the funds to get him the procedure that he really needs as currently he is walking around in pain and is not a happy cat 😔
I thank all who donate for Zeus. I am hoping that very soon he will be feeling more himself, albeit a leg gone, but I know that cats are resilient and that once the pain is relieved he can adapt and live a happy life again.
Thank you all again. Victoria.
