My 10yr old son has suffered severe ear infections all his life, fluid builds up behind his ear drums until it bursts through and puss seeps out of his ears. Not only is it extremely painful but has scarred both ear drums which has affected his hearing. He saw the Head consultant for the E.N.T department and also the Audiologist. He has stagnet fluid build up in 1 ear which has been there about 6 months and the consultant said he needed an operation to have gromits put in and his adnoids removed as they were inlarged as well. He said he was going to prioritise the operation as my son already has sum hearing loss. No one contacted me so after a few months i called them and was told that the "funding pannel" had refused to pay for it. None of them are medically trained and noone could give me a reason why it was refused. I have tried over and over again to appeal but with no luck.
My son could end up deaf in the next few years and i just want him out of pain and living a happy normal life and that is why i am trying to raise the money to take him private to have the operation.
