On Sunday 21st October 2018, I will be running the Great South Run, which is ten miles, to raise funds for Broadlands Birth Centre, at the Princess Anne Hospital, Southampton.

Throughout my midwifery degree I have had the opportunity to work on the birth centre, and work a long side an inspirational team, who constantly strive to enhance the service they provide.

I wanted to set myself a challenge where I can push myself and in addition fundraise for the birth centre, so they are able to continue with their amazing work!

I currently can't run one mile without getting out of breath, so there will be a lot of hard work and training between now and October!! I promise updates throughout!! In addition I will be completing the final year of my degree, so I will need to stay focused, committed and organised to ensure I am able to complete this challenge I have set myself!
