Story
My lovely 14 year old daughter, Molly, wants to raise money in memory of two of our family members who died in 2017.
My brother in law, Andrew, died in June 2017 from a hard battle with cancer and is greatly missed within the family. He was an amazing husband to my step sister and we all miss his presence at family get togethers. We would like to donate to St Nicholas hospice care in Bury st Edmunds to show our appreciation for the high quality care and support he and my step sister recieved at the end of his life.
My 30 year old, step sister Rachael died suddenly on the August bank holiday monday 2017. We had an amazing family day out the day before and unfortunately she went home and never woke up. She left behind her two young sons and husband. The loss is unbearable, she is missed terribly by all those that knew her. Despite their best efforts, Newmarket air ambulance were amazing and we would love to give a donation to help them continue to help others.
Molly’s idea is to do a series of money raising events throughout the summer holidays such as coffe and cake mornings, afternoon teas and then ending with a walk up Snowdon. In an ideal world we would like to climb snowdon on the 28th August to mark a year since the day Rachael fell asleep. We will try our best to achieve this but would ideally like good weather, so we reserve the right to change the day either side if we need to. Hopefully this hot weather will hang on a bit longer!
