Story
In July 2022, Zoe unexpectedly suffered a catastrophic and devastating stroke which changed her life beyond recognition. At just 50 years old, medics fought to save her and protect her and she endured 10 weeks of recovery in hospital as she developed covid as well. The stroke affected her mobility, speech, energy and so many other areas of her life and she has not been able to return to her career which she was so passionate about. Despite this, she has demonstrated incredible resilience and courage as she has embraced her recovery with her sole intention of returning to her career and her life of adventures with her partner, family and friends.
During this time, Zoe has been so active in learning to walk again, speak and to regain her independence and is making significant progress.
Incredibly, Zoe has now been offered a remarkable opportunity of receiving a new life-changing medical protocol in Mexico. This pioneering new treatment offers significant improvement in speech, communication, mobility and will be instrumental in helping her to get back the very full life she was living before this tragic event.
Zoe and her partner Johnnie have announced, "The funds raised will be used to cover our travel expenses to Mexico, where Zoe will receive extensive treatment for 28 days, as well as our accommodation costs during the stay. We are profoundly grateful for your support, which enables this journey and provides Zoe with another opportunity for a fulfilling life. We extend our deepest gratitude to everyone."
