My terminally ill neighbour was saving for his funeral and wake. We were due to pit down payments next week. He was burgled on Saturday afternoon and all of his funeral amd wake funds were taken. He has been saving for this since his terminal diagnosis almost 4 years ago. He is only on benefits and has been small savings each week. Someone that he knew who was supposed to have dear to him robbed him of his savings :(
Police are aware and they will do what they can, unfortunately even after they have been found guilty and ordered to pay monthly, this will not come quick enough for tels funeral.
He's a great well loved man in our small commununity, unfortunately between our small numbers we aren't enough to bring his pot back up. He helped so many people in his time, wherever he could and at some times left himself short.
Even £1 would be a huge help. And me and tel would be ever so grateful 🙏
