On the 8th September 2019, Ellie Perrow tragically died by suicide a week before her 21st Birthday. Her death shocked the community as Ellie was beautiful, intelligent, popular, funny and sassy. No one knew that Ellie had any known mental health problems, or was suicidal. Ellie is loved and missed beyond measure.

Her mother Zoë has devoted her time in helping others and raising awareness about suicide and mental health since Ellie’s death. Zoë has always wanted Ellie’s legacy to live on by way of setting up a foundation in Ellie’s name. In a cruel twist of fate, Zoë received notification that Ellie’s foundation (#forever20foundation) had received charity status the same month that Zoë was diagnosed with breast cancer in January 2023. Zoë is currently undergoing extensive chemotherapy, immunotherapy and surgery. Zoë has taken all of this is her stride and is dealing with this the only way she knows how - with positivity, hope, humour and grit determination.
