I'm raising £500 for The Lichfield Memory cafe which supports those with dementia along with their families and carers.

Myself and my sister will be running the Lichfield Cathedral to Castle run on Sunday 19th April 2026. This is a 10 mile run from Lichfield Cathedral to Tamworth Castle. This will be a test of our strength and endurance but we are determined to complete this and raise some funds for The Lichfield Memory Cafe which is close to our hearts with the support their offer to those with dementia, their families and carers.

Having first hand experience of caring for our mum, we know only too well how this cruel disease affects 'everyone' and not just those who are suffering.

Groups like The Lichfield Memory Cafe are not readily available in all towns and cities, but we know that the support and interaction that is provided is completely invaluable. A weekly opportunity to spend time with others and their family or carers. Time to relax, talk, drink tea, eat biscuits, sing, dance,.play games and complete crafts

However these groups run with volunteers and rely on the kindness and support from donations. This enables the cafe to function and pay for the room hire and activities that all group members enjoy each week
