Story
Currently the rule for period of charging someone with with domestic and emotional abuse/assault is within a 6 month time period however victims of such crimes often do not have the strength to speak out until years after the incident. It is the same rule for children who have been assaulted or victims of DA yet many again dont speak out until years later.
we are wanting to make people aware of this and get the government to recognise this rule needs changing.
We are also wanting to make people aware of the contact between parents and children in a domestic emotional abusive reletionship where parents have split as a result and children are now forced to see a parent that has been abusive. More awareness and education is needed to ensure childrens voices are heard and they are protected.

So many victims of domestic emotional abuse don’t speak out about incidents that have happened until after time has past currently as it stand the law only allows charges to be pressed if it is within a 6 month time frame. Many victims watch abuser get away with abuse.
