I've raised £5000 to essential items like shelter materials food, and water specifically for people in Adiyaman and Hatay.

Dear Friends,
I am writing to you today to request your support for the victims of the recent earthquake in Turkey and Syria. As you may know, a magnitude 7.7 earthquake struck the region on the 6th of February causing widespread damage and loss of life.
The earthquake has left my family and many other people homeless and without necessities like food, water, and medical supplies. Families have lost their homes and all of their belongings, and the situation is dire for those affected.
I am from Diyarbakir, one of the cities that severely was affected by the earthquake, and I was exiled to the UK 5 years ago as a journalist/Kurdish. It’s heart-wrenching to see my people in Diyarbakir, the city where I was born and grew up, and in other Kurdish cities suffering and mourning the loss of their beloved ones. I feel particularly overwhelmed as I can’t be there with my family as they are mourning the loss of 5 members of my family. My heart is also broken to lose dear friends to me
Now I am working closely with local organisations in the region of Turkey in order to provide much-needed relief to those impacted by the earthquake. My goal is to raise £5000 to support the distribution of essential items like shelter materials food, and water specifically for people in Adiyaman and Hatay.
Any contribution, no matter how small, will make a huge difference in the lives of those affected by this disaster. Your generosity will help provide a glimmer of hope to those who have lost so much.
Thank you for your support and for your compassion for those affected by this tragedy.
Sincerely,
Zozan Yasar
