Story

This is for my Biddick Titans teammate, Natalia.
On 26th May 2017, Natalia was diagnosed with Ewing's Sarcoma, which is a very rare and aggressive type of bone cancer.
Her pain began in November 2016, when she felt pain in her groin area after playing a basketball game. She sought medical care and advice from 2 doctors and 2 consultants, all who diagnosed injuries such as a groin strain, impingements and tears.
On the day her referral appointment finally came around, which was in May, (6 months from seeking medical advice for the pain) and after the consultant finally took an xray, we knew that something was wrong as he mumbled something about 'lytic legions' and 'stress fractures' being present on the xray. From then on it has been a whirlwind of tests, biopsies and scans until we received the shattering news that Natalia has Ewing's Sarcoma bone cancer, stage 4, which started in her pelvis, however, we received more shattering news on 1st June 2017 that it is also now in her lungs. Her consultant also informed her on that day that 4 in 10 people are cured of this. How does anyone take that news in?
Natalia is the brightest, most positive and happiest girl anyone could meet and still managed to complete 2 of her mock A level exams despite her pain and anticipation on waiting for a diagnosis. Unfortunately, she was in too much pain to carry on with them. She started her first course of chemotherapy on Saturday 3rd June and she has such a long way to go, as she will need over a year of chemotherapy, surgery, radiotherapy, more chemotherapy, then whole lung radiation.
Any donations will be used to make life a little easier for Natalia, which will include transport to get her to hospital, as well as helping her get to the US for treatment!
