These sweet little girls are the daughters of my best friend‘s sister who is a single mother. Their granddad was heavily involved in supporting the family but unfortunately he passed away leaving the girls without support and in debt.

The family lives in a small village where work opportunities for mothers are limited. The girls’ mum works as many hours as possible and her sister, my best friend works extra jobs so that she can send money to them. Unfortunately the family is struggling to get by and the government/family services would not help. Both grandparents have passed away and they have no family to turn to.

Social services informed them that the children would be taken away from her if she cannot get the family out of this situation but there are no benefits or family support available for this scenario in Hungary.

Sometimes people get into helpless situations out of their own fault, dictated by the circumstances or tragic events. One thing for sure, no child deserves to be taken away from a loving parent and grow up without their family only because of a death of a loved one has put them in a desperate situation.

The smallest amount could make a big difference to this family so please if you have anything to spare I would be truly grateful for your generosity.
