St Peter's Church is a Grade 1 listed building, built to serve the Dukes of Devonshire and the Chatsworth Estate villages of Edensor and Pilsley. Designed by renowned victorian architect George Gilbert Scott, it is a fine example of gothic revival architecture that is in constant need of repair.
