Our main objective is to raise funds to help maintain this unique community asset, irrespective of religious commitments The funding is generated by annual subscriptions, donations from individual members, businesses and a variety of fundraising events, all organised by a group of volunteers, our membership is nation wide The church is a great asset to the community and is unthinkable that it should ever fall into disrepair and become an eyesore Since the organisation was formed in 1999, it has helped with many major and minor works carried out within this magnificent building, but there is always a great deal to do, and a new initiative has just been given to go ahead to raise funds to help with the refurbishment of the clock mechanism and external faces, lead and roof repairs to the lythe gate, external stone repairs and tower railings All works undertaken on a grade one listed building have to be meticulous planned and works carried out by professional companies and personnel We are always on the lookout for new members and new ideas for fund raising, so if you think you would wish to help us in any way, please contact any of the organising committee.
