Story
The WEDC Foundation was created in 1998 by the Women's Economic Development Council to empower women in our community to achieve self-sufficiency and economic independence. Over the years, the WEDC Foundation has helped close to 200 women by providing mentors, professional networking, development programs, and flexible financial assistance.
The WEDC Foundation Scholar Emergency Fund was created in order to assist our scholars during this pandemic. Our scholars must work to support themselves and their families while going through school. Many are working jobs in retail, food service, or interning at a local business. During this crisis, their schooling and bills continue, but their work cannot. The emergency fund can aid in their most pressing needs like medical bills, car repairs, or putting food on their tables. We appreciate your generosity and willingness to donate during this time of need, as we are all affected in one way or another.
