Aquilino is an outpatient community cancer center, a place where every staff member is attuned to the needs of patients and families, and where the journey is a shared experience.

Story

ProAction Physical Therapy began in 2001 when Rachel Miller felt the best way to treat patients is in a personalized, one-on-one environment, which was scarce back then. Therefore, with the grateful encouragement and support of her husband, Howard, she created ProAction Physical Therapy. ProAction PT grew through the years of raising two kids, through Howard's diagnosis of colon cancer, and through his many years of treatments. Howard was first diagnosed in 2011 with Stage 3B Colon Cancer. He was 44 years old and our kids were 6 and 9. In 2014, he was diagnosed with Stage 4. His oncologist, Dr. Paul Thambi, and the nurses at the Aquilino Cancer Center, took amazing care of him (and our family) until his tragic passing in 2018 at age 51.

Twenty years later, the business continues to thrive due to the amazing people she has worked alongside through the years- truly a team effort- and to all of our patients - THANK YOU.
