Story
Our sister, Yvonne Elaine 'Sweetie-Pie' Kretschmer was a generous loving person with the most amazing infectious laugh. She had progressive deafness that became profound and her vision had increasing challenges as well. Despite these and other challenges, when she passed away in 2020 at only 44 years old, she was a happy person who spread a lot of joy.
Yvonne was very compassionate and she tried to help anyone in distress. She generously contributed time and effort to several charities and was a very active participant of our Alzheimer Walk team. We hope to follow her example with this new walk team for DeafBlind.
Just imagine being deaf and blind. Imagine how much support you would need to communicate, to function in society, to even meet your basic needs. DeafBlind not only supports basic needs, housing and personal support, but they also work hard to provide enriched lives with activities and communication.
In Yvonnes memory we have been helping to support her peers through DeafBlind Foundation of Ontario. We hope you will join us to support this worthy cause. Any donation is very appreciated, with $20 a tax receipt will be provided.

Trix, Dave and Yvonne in spirit
