Story

THE JENNY PROJECT Wigan Warriors Community Foundation and Behind-a -Smile are working together to organise their inaugural event to raise funds to support local families who have been affected by suicide. We are hosting a benefit dinner at the Paddock in Wrightington in February 2019 and we hope to raise enough money to support local families who have lost a loved one to suicide. Helping to organise the event is Anjuli Tautai, wife of Taulima Tautai. Anjuli lost her Mum to suicide when she was just a young girl, 17 years ago my mum took her life. She was young, smart, kind, beautiful and a hopeless romantic, but she was suffering silently inside. If through my experience I can help another person who has lost their parent, partner, sibling or friend to understand or heal then I feel that there is a rainbow from the horrific storm and that the memory of Jenny, my mum, may continue to live on.
