As two of The Mercury Theatre's best known (and loved) runners we thought we wanted to join forces quite literally and show Colchester what a professional Panto Horse looks like.

We aren't running far but it will still be a challenge as we will be in the same costume together throughout the day.

Forest can't find his trainers and Dilek lacks coordination, so training's going well.

Oh, and we are yet to find a costume..........

Why are we racing? For our Mercury Rising Campaign. We are extending and transforming the existing Mercury Theatre building to update production and front of house facilities, make the building fully accessible and create space for community engagement of the arts.

Back us in the race of the year.  This is the only Derby day that counts!
