Down Syndrome UK Charity Skydive 2023 · 25 March 2023 ·

On Saturday 25th March 2023, Positive about Down Syndrome (DSUK) are hosting a Charity Skydive at GoSkydive. We are raising money for vital services that go directly to supporting families with babies and young children with Down Syndrome.

Story

My little girl Jessica Jane sadly grew her angel wings in November 2021, PADS gave us so much support before Jessica was even alive and even now continue to do so. The Down syndrome community is incredible and I’m proud to say I am a part of it and always will be. I am jumping for Positive about Down Syndrome to raise money for families of children with Down Syndrome.

This sky dive came about from my brother James messaging me after I had shared the link on Facebook simply saying “I’m in if you are”. A few minutes later and the email had been sent and the following day the deposit paid………James has since said “I didn’t think you would actually be up for it, you hate flying”. He’s right, I really do hate flying (after all, I know how they get fixed), I also do not like heights.

We had the choice of jumping from 10,000 feet or 15,000 feet, there was only ever going to be one height I chose for us, 15,000 feet it is. That will give us around a 60 second free fall before the chute is released.

This is a mixed page for me and James, between us we need to raise £1500, but let’s get as much in the fund as we possibly can. Remember to do the Gift Aid, it is literally free money for the charity.

Thanks everyone
