London Marathon 2021 · 3 October 2021 ·
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page. In 2019 I ran the London Marathon in a time of 4 hours 33 seconds, which was just fast enough to enable me to get a “Good for Age” place in this year’s event. I feel very privileged to be able to run such an iconic race again and am aware that although it can be tough going out to train, no matter what the weather, that is nothing compared to the plight of refugees around the world.
As I have paid for my marathon place in full, all monies raised will go straight to “UK for the UNHCR”. Last year I ran the “virtual” London Marathon along local minor roads and cycle ways which was enjoyable, the smaller photo was taken after I finished. The other photo was taken on the original day of the marathon in April 2020, when were under strictest lockdown rules. I ran half a marathon that day and the other half two days later. I am really excited at the prospect of running in London again.
